FWBV (Fully Welded Ball Valve) SERIES

The FWBV (Fully Welded Ball Valve) is a forged metal-seated ball valve designed for secure shut-off in the most demanding pressure, temperature, and service conditions. Its forged body construction provides superior strength and durability, while the metal-to-metal sealing system, enhanced with hardfacing materials like Stellite or tungsten carbide, ensures resistance to abrasion, erosion, and high temperatures. Available in top-entry or side-entry designs, it allows simplified in-line maintenance, reducing downtime. Fully compliant with API 6D and ASME B16.34, it offers reliable performance, long service life, and minimal leakage, making it ideal for critical applications in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and chemical industries.

Features and MaterialsDesign and Applications

Features

  • Forged Body Construction: Ensures maximum mechanical strength, durability, and integrity under severe pressure and temperature conditions.
  • Metal Seats: Designed to withstand high temperatures, abrasive media, and harsh process conditions.
  • Reliable Tight Shut-off: Maintains leak-free performance even under extreme differential pressures and cyclic operation.
  • Low-Friction Operation: Engineered for smooth and stable movement, reducing torque and wear during frequent cycling.
  • High Pressure Capability: Suitable for critical applications involving large pressure differentials.
  • Accessible Maintenance: Available in top-entry or side-entry configurations for simplified in-line service.
  • Extended Service Life: Delivers minimal leakage and long-term reliability in demanding isolation duties.

Body Design

  • Forged body construction provides superior strength and resistance to mechanical and thermal stress compared to cast valves.
  • Available in top-entry or side-entry designs to facilitate in-line maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Complies with API 6D and ASME B16.34 standards.
  • End connections: flanged, butt-welded, or socket-welded.
  • Size range: DN 25 to DN 600.
  • Pressure class range: ANSI 150 to ANSI 2500.

Construction Materials

  • Body Materials: Forged carbon steel (A105, A350 LF2) for standard and low-temperature service; forged stainless steel (F304, F316) for corrosion resistance; duplex and superduplex alloys (F51, F55) for enhanced strength and durability; special alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, and Monel available for highly corrosive or high-temperature environments.
  • Trim Materials: Ball in hardened stainless steel or coated with Stellite, tungsten carbide, or similar hardfacing materials for maximum resistance to erosion and abrasion. Metal seats in stainless or special alloys with hard surface treatments. Stem in hardened stainless steel or wear- and corrosion-resistant alloys. Auxiliary seals in graphite or high-performance materials suitable for high pressure and temperature.

Trim Design

  • Ball and metal seats are surface-treated and hard-coated (e.g., Stellite or tungsten carbide) to resist severe abrasion, erosion, and high temperature.
  • Precision-engineered sealing system ensures metal-to-metal tightness and minimal leakage over extended service life.
  • Low-friction trim design maintains consistent operation even in high differential pressure applications.

Applications

  • Oil & Gas: Critical isolation in production, transport, and refining systems.
  • Petrochemical and Chemical Industries: Suitable for aggressive, high-temperature, or high-pressure process fluids.
  • Power Generation: Used in steam, condensate, and turbine systems under severe operating conditions.
  • High-Differential Pressure Services: Designed for applications where durable, metal-to-metal sealing is essential.
