Industrial gases

Solutions

Industrial gases resemble cryogenic service but add challenges related to depressurization, gas-phase expansion, and
gas composition.

Challenges and difficulties

  • Oxygen Service: Avoid ignition; select appropriate materials and valve geometry to prevent sharp edges or
    velocity spikes.
  • Hydrogen Service: Gas-phase hydrogen is volatile and corrosive; liquid hydrogen must be kept at -254ºC.
  • Other Gases: Nitrogen and liquefied gases require cryogenic-specific valves; high-speed gas expansion
    can create noise and vibration.

Ringo’s Solution and Advantages

  • Oxygen: BAM-compliant materials, multistage velocity control, optional nickel overlay for critical areas.
  • Hydrogen: Compatible materials, bellows design to prevent leaks, suitable for high pressure and
    temperature.
  • Other: Cryogenic designs adapted for each gas.
