Oil & Gas
Markets
Samson Ringo offers a wide range of solutions for the Oil & Gas sector, specializing in valves designed for the most
critical conditions encountered in Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream operations.
Upstream (Offshore y Onshore)
The Upstream market is highly demanding due to the combination of very high pressures with highly corrosive and
abrasive fluids during oil and gas extraction.
For this, Samson Ringo provides a full product range according to API 6A: choke, gate, check, and ball valves,
covering all pressure ratings and inspection/testing requirements: up to 20,000 psi, PR 1 and PR2, and up to PSL 4.
All valves are supplied with designs and materials to ensure reliable performance and long service life.
Within the upstream sector, it is important to differentiate between Offshore and Onshore operations. Offshore
typically has stricter specifications, which Samson Ringo is fully experienced with, having references for valves
supplied where the main challenges include:
- Space optimization.
- Material requirements (NACE, NORSOK, or others).
- High-pressure gas testing.
- Coating procedures for offshore service, including all types of inspections (Samson
- Ringo has an inspector certified by FROSIO).
For offshore service, Samson Ringo supplies valves for subsea service in shallow waters (up to 400 meters depth) as
well as all types of platform valves, including top-entry ball valves for ESDV top riser service.
Additionally, valves are supplied for Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading units (FPSO/FSO).

Midstream
Samson Ringo also has extensive experience supplying valves for the Midstream sector, including:
∙Pipelines: welded ball valves, including ESDVs with pneumo-hydraulic actuators, line break, or direct gas
actuators.
- Compression and metering stations.
- Gas storage: on/off ball valves and bidirectional axial valves with control and on/off functions.
- Pig launchers and receivers.
- Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG): liquefaction, transportation, and regasification.

Downstream
The refining sector faces ongoing challenges that drive continuous evolution. Different crude qualities can affect
process performance and product quality. Environmental regulations push for reduced emissions, while efficiency and
safety remain critical to avoid economic losses or hazards.
In this context, all equipment supplied to refineries must meet very stringent specifications. Samson Ringo offers
solutions and references for some of the most critical refinery services, including:
- Rising stem ball valves for catalyst or delayed coker service.
- On/Off and control valves for high pressure and temperature in Hydrocracking units.
- Valves for other refinery services, such as steam, oxygen for the steamcracker, and hydrogen for diesel
desulfurization. - In general, all types of gate, globe, and check valves, including pressure seal designs for high-pressure
applications.
