Atmospheric Steam Discharge

Solutions

Superheated steam is commonly used in various plants, including power generation and oil & gas separation and
refining. In many cases, auxiliary or emergency systems are needed to safely release excess or residual steam to the
atmosphere.

Challenges and Difficulties

Due to very low outlet pressure (atmospheric), steam experiences volumetric expansion. Systems must control fluid exit velocity, vibration, and noise.

Material selection is critical due to high temperatures.

Ringo’s Solution and Advantages

Ringo offers a valve with the integrated 3595 PILOT internal and multistage box, plus compact silencers to ensure
optimal velocity control across all operating points, minimizing noise and vibration.
